database availability monitoring and checking and alert

Databases are an essential part of IT landscape. In various fields they hold a great amount of data and provide a basis for important decisions and day-to-day business. If the database of the enterprise resource planning system or the database of the stock management system fails, then the entire company might come to a stop within a short period of time. Statistics have proven that only within a few days many companies would not be capable of acting without having these systems.

Simple solution with great effect

Impulsus isymon® checks the availability of your databases by first logging-in to the database and subsequently executing a query. This way it is assured that not only the port can be addressed but in fact it is possible to work with the database.

The basic principle of the monitoring is - in contrast to many other solutions -  not only a “ping” to the database but an actual log-in with user-ID and all associated information as well as the execution of SQL queries which will be checked for success.

Quick and easy configuration

The Database Monitor is easy to handle. For each type of database system an individual monitor can be assigned. Each of these monitors is able to monitor several databases.

Available for all relevant database systems

The Database Monitor is able to monitor all relevant database systems including: MySQL™, Oracle™, Microsoft SQL Server™, IBM DB2™, Informix™, Sybase ASE™, PostgreSQL™.
